Simply irritated. Yesterday some stupid virus invaded my computer and I have to reinstall everything on my computer. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I AM SO ANGRY!!!!

Well basicly nothing fantastic happened to me in one way or another, its just that Mr Ng changed our seats and I don't want to do so as I LOVE my seat now. Then Sek Lin bring two hamsters to the class. They are so cute!!! I personally think that my classroom look pretty nice and cosy now as I felt like its ours not the school's. Quite confident that choir will get a gold now, donno why though. Quite sad after yesterday perfomance as YanLi and Clar and YanFeng said that they don't quite understand the songs so they think they are ok. What I think is that they are great only that most of the audiences don't understand music as most of them actually look bored. Can you believed it? The songs are really nice and they were BORED!!! Strange man. Jia You, Choir!!! '',

Daphane bring some soft toys to sell and I buy one for $3 yesterday. And today I am attracted by a bigger one which cost $6. More than I can afford, so anyone want to buy for me for my coming birthday? HEHEHE!!! Just joking. But may consider to force my brother to give me $6 since he always cannot decide what to buy for me so may as well he give me money for present, then I use it to buy something I like!!! Anyway today got quite a bit of homework, given by Mr Chia. The 2005 E-maths O'Level paper. Already done halfway and most cannot do. What to do? Must work harder liao!!! ';'

The background music is the song, 'planetes', by Hitomi. Very nice, right? Today SS is really very boring and I DID fell asleep for about a few minutes. Well, couldn't help myself! :p Saw Yan Kiat nodding his head sleepily and find it very funny!!! I really could not stand Mr Ng voice at all as its like a HUGE trumpet which suddenly bellowed right beside my ears, whenever he walk pass me, which is very often as he tends to walk around the class. I simply find that irritating!!! Then at choir today, every thing went well, until Mrs Low came in with a black face. She told Pei Yong to say out the names of those who were 'kicked' out of SYF. Why must she force Pei Yong to do that? That, I think is really embarassing for those people. I really pity them. Three people from Alto were 'kicked' out. They leave the room by banging...smashing...knocking, aiya, whatever lah, the door against the wall. This clearly shows that they were very unhappy and everyone were like staring at them. Understandable. Miss Lim says that she MAY consider to continue to kick people in the next few practices till SYF arrived. Oh man!!! Choir, Band and Chinese Dance may be going to Fuhua Pri next Monday, after reccess which means that I will be missing Maths. Oh dear... :( That all for today!!!!!!! :D

Today went to Science Centre to watch something. What I don't understand is that what this show got to do with maths? In the bus, many people tried means and ways to take Mr Chia photo, very funny!!! Today got NAFA Test and I finally pass it, YAAYAYAY!!!

Guess what!!! I found a letter that is written by Mrs Toh (My ex Form cum English teacher) in 17th of march Straits Times forum. COOL!!!

Here it is:

Why some dedicated teachers call it a day

FOR a long time, my husband and I have kept our grievances as teachers to dinners with our colleagues.
It is difficult to share our woes and sorrows with non-teachers, who assume that we have long holidays, short working hours and a fat pay cheque. It just does not appear to those outside our circle that our job is anything but that.
Having left teaching after five years of service, I think it is time to set the record straight.
It is true that a handful of teachers do get away with doing very little work. These are the ones who skive and squirm their way out of any responsibility bestowed upon them. In every profession, there is bound to be black sheep and teaching is no exception. The truth is, for the rest of us, teaching is a lot of hard work and heartache.
Planning lessons that are engaging, effective and still 'cover' the syllabus is challenging for a 35-period week with three or four classes a day. Research needs to be done, resources compiled, notes and worksheets prepared and printed.
The actual lesson itself is more draining than the preparation. Teachers are always on 'high alert' in the classroom - discipline problems to handle (ranging from not doing homework to defiance, stealing and, in very rare cases, fighting); rapport to build, which is ongoing (students are not going to learn if they all hate us!).
Having to handle different sets of 40 or more students in a day's work - where we need to punish and reward, scold and joke with, teach and ensure learning takes place, enforce rules and impart moral values, rein in the egoistic students and give the shy ones confidence - is a daunting task.
Every comment we make may affect a student's self-esteem, desire to learn, willingness to cooperate with us, goals and ambitions for the future. The truth is we would never know the impact of our reprimands or words of encouragement.
Beyond the classroom, there are still the CCAs, department and committee work that demand our time and energy to plan, coordinate, implement and monitor.
School programmes and events like camps and concerts are essential to the holistic development of our students but these add on to our already very heavy workload, which is teaching itself.
Parents are a whole new category of problems for teachers. Most are supportive but a few problematic ones can cause a lot of pain for us. Some expect teachers to be on call 24/7; others threaten and abuse us when they do not get their way. Some think that we are miracle workers who can turn failures into distinctions overnight; others just treat us as agony aunts.
On top of all these, we need to answer to our heads of department and principals when it comes to 'producing' the number of passes or distinctions.
Teachers teaching the graduating classes are often made out to be the heroes or sinners when the results are released. The pressure is overwhelming. 'Results are not everything' is a myth!
Despite all these woes, I had no regrets going into teaching. I have had the privilege of getting to know a few batches of fantastic students at Hwa Chong Junior College and Fuhua Secondary School, who still keep in touch with me. They were the reason I decided to teach in the first place and they were definitely the highlight of my teaching career.
The truth is, teachers are no saints. They have only 24 hours a day just like any one of us, yet their responsibilities and duties are so demanding that their family life and their physical and emotional health are sometimes compromised.
And I believe that, at the end of the day, teachers who left did so not because they stopped believing in what they did but rather they believed in it so strongly that they did not think they could accomplish all that without making any compromise in the other areas of their lives.

Oh man, the SCH is so very grand man, with red, plush seats... Heard the band and thinks that they sound really great but sadden that I miss the CO. The SCH is really cold, especially at the backstage and eerie too. Something went terribly wrong yesterday as my voicebox feel so tight and I couldn't sing high note, at least today it is better. What is really funny is that many girls (including me) changed from their gowns to uniforms RIGHT on the BUS. WOW... It is really thrilling and funny to watch though... HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do Some Reading :

Fear less, hope more,
eat less, chew more,
whine less, breathe more,
talk less, say more,
love more,
and all good things
will be yours.

- Swedish Proverb

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me...

-Psalm 23-

Think Positive!!

This is nice - finding positive out of every negative - which we don't always manage to do. I am thankful...

1. For the husband who snores all night, because he is at home asleep with me and not with someone else.

2. For my teenage daughter who is complaining about doing dishes, because that means she is at home & not on the streets.

3. For the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed.

4. For the mess to clean after a party because it means that I have been surrounded by friends.

5. For the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat.

6. For my shadow that watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine.

7. For a floor that needs mopping, and windows that need cleaning because it means I have a
home.

8. For all the complaining I hear about the government because it means that we have freedom
of speech.

9. For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of
walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.

10. For the noise I have to bear from my neighbours because it means that I can hear.

11. For the pile of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear.

12. For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been
capable of working hard.

13. For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am stilll alive.

Today, I'm going to Singapore confence( HOw Do u Spell?!?) Hall. Very sad that I will be miss the Zhong Yi Da Ge Da today. Thats all...

Stories:

What are my dreams?
What do I wish for?
What are the things I see when i close my eyes?
I have a smile,
Isee sunlight,
I see butterflies...
I see colors,
Lots and lots of beautiful colors,
I see a stream with beautiful colored fish
Swimming in it with smiles...
Everything around me has a feeling of purity,
A feeling of peace,
I am free...
I see a Unicorn,
Drinking from my stream,
I see this creature's mane in rainbow colors,
She is beautiful,
She is at peace...
And then I see a Tiger,
On the other side of my stream,
He is strong,
He is unafraid...
So there I stand,
Under my tree of light,
With its golden leaves,
Shining down on me...
I watch the Unicorn,
So calm,
So serene,
She is pure,
She is magical,
She is me...
And I see the Tiger,
He is strong,
He is brave,
He will protect me,
As he is also me...
And then my Unicorn and my Tiger,
Standing across each other,
Look into my stream,
And what they see is their reflection,
And that reflection is me...
